Creative Agenda
The creative agenda presents a proposed solution for the barriers to comfortability within co-ed, college fitness centers. The result of this capstone is a proposal for a revitalized co-ed fitness center for the Rochester Institute of Technology. As a long term goal, this space would be used as a catalyst for implementing the presented solutions in other, similar settings. The expectation is that many of these factors will be applicable to not only other college campus fitness centers but also to commercial fitness centers within the current industry.

Colour + Material Selection
Colours throughout the space were chosen to project the concept of the space; a welcoming space that fosters comfort for users of all identities and experiences. Bright colours with positive associations are intended to foster confidence and individuality.
Materials were selected with the nature of the environment in mind. Acoustic selections avoid the use of porous materials such as felt due to the expectation of moisture to be present often within the space. Surface materials were chosen with ease of cleaning as a central focus; a priority on simple and quick disinfection was present throughout the process.
